Zamalek name squad for Esperance clash in Champions League


Zamalek manager has named his 23-man squad for their second-leg encounter against in the .

The White Knights edged Esperance in the first leg of the quarter-finals last week, thanks to goals from Mohamed Ounajem, Achraf Bencharki, and Mahmoud Alaa.

Carteron has reinstated Youssef Obama and Mohamed Awad into the squad after dropping the pair last week.

The French manager also opted to include the likes of Mostafa Fathi and Islam Gaber while excluding Omar El-Said and Abdallah Gomaa.

Zamalek travel to Rades on Friday to take on Esperance in the second leg of the CAF Champions League quarter-finals. Kick-off takes place at 21:00 CLT.

Full squad:

Goalkeepers: Mahmoud Gennesh, Mohamed Awad, Mohamed Sobhi, and Mohamed Abou-Gabal.

Defenders: Mahmoud Alaa, Mahmoud Hamdy El-Wensh, Hazem Emam, Mohamed Abel-Shafy, Mohamed Abdel-Salam, and Ahmed Eid.

Midfielders: Ferjani Sassi, Tarek Hamed, Mohamed Ounajem, Achraf Bencharki, Ahmed Sayed Zizo, Youssef Obama, Mohamed Hassan, Mohamed Antar, Mostafa Fathi, Islam Gaber, and Mahmoud Abdel-Razek Shikabala.
