Atlético Mineiro interested in Pyramids FC’s Keno – Report
Keno joined Pyramids during the summer of 2018 coming from Brazilian club Palmeiras for a reported $10 million fee.
Following his first season in Egypt where he was by far his side’s top performer, scoring ten goals and assisting a further 11, the 30-year-old was sent on a one-year loan to Emirati giants Al Jazira.
During his 12 appearances for the Black and Whites, Keno made seven direct goal contributions (two goals and five assists) and helped them sit third on the league table behind Al-Ain and leaders Shabab Dubai.
Now, according to Brazilian news outlet GloboEsporte, Atletico Mineiro have shown interest in signing the player ahead of the start the new Brazilian Serie A season.
According to the report, the Roosters are ready to pay $5 million to acquire the services of the former Palmeiras man.
However, no official negotiations have started yet as most football activities have been halted due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Atletico Mineiro finished 13th last season and qualified for the first round of the Copa Sudamericana. They were unfortunately immediately knocked out after losing 3-2 on aggregate to Uruguayan side Club Atletico Union.
