Kouka strikes another brace to help Olympiacos down Aris

Olympiacos forward has enhanced his fine record in recent games as he netted another brace for Olympiacos in their big 4-2 over in the Greek Super League 1.

Olympiacos were crowned as Super League Greece champions on Sunday after defeating AEK Athens 2-1 last month.

Olympiacos have had an exceptional season as they remained on top of the league table for the majority of the season, except for two fixtures (16th and 21st) where they dropped to second place.

Kouka had just inspired Olympiacos to the victory over OFI Crete last week when he scored twice in a 2-1 win, and he was there for his team with yet another brace on Wednesday.

Kouka pounced on a defensive mistake in the final minute of the first half and lobbed the ball over Aris goalkeeper to double Olympiacos’ lead.

He returned on the scoring sheet in the second half with their fourth and last goal of the game off the penalty spot in the 65th minute.

The win solidifies the league champions’ position in the table with 85 points, 20 points clear off the second-placed team AEK Athens.

The 27-year-old Egypt international has now scored four goals in the last three games with Olympiacos, and has increased his tally to eight goals since joining the club in January.
