Egypt winger is reportedly one of the players that giants PAOK have enlisted among the surplus players that would be heading out for an exit from the club.

Warda’s contract with A.E Larissa, where he spent a season on loan from PAOK, was terminated before the end of the season after failing to appear for a number of training sessions.

Warda arguably had a good season with Larissa, scoring seven goals and providing six assists during his 23 official appearances.

Despite the 26-year-old putting pen to paper on a new deal with PAOK, he is seemingly on his way out of the club.

According to Greek outlet novasports, PAOK sporting director Olaf Rebbe is expected to hold contacts with Warda to terminate the winger’s deal with the club.

AC Omonia are said to have expressed their interest in acquiring the services of Warda for next season, per the report.

AC Omonia was leading the Cypriot title race last season, before the league was abandoned due to COVID-19 pandemic, however, they still secured a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.

If he decides to join Omonia, Warda won’t be the first Egyptian to make that move, with Karim Hafez spending the 2015/16 season there on loan from Lierse SK.

Former Zamalek and Egypt defender Amir Azmi Megahed had also spent some time in Cyprus, representing AEK Larnaca and Enosis Neon Paralimniou during the 2008/09 and 2015/16 respectively.
