Ahmed Hassan says Pyramids signed Ekramy, club in talks with Martin Jol
Ekramy had requested Al Ahly’s board to allow him to leave at the end of the season back in January.
However, the 36-year-old was released by Al Ahly before the end of the season with him being rumoured to join teammates Ahmed Fathi and Ramadan Sobhi at Pyramids.
And now, Ahmed Hassan talked about Pyramids’ summer signings while disclosing that Ekramy is nearing a move to Pyramids in the summer.
“Pyramids have made great signings in Ahmed Fathi, Ramadan Sobhi, and Sherif Ekramy, who is close to joining the team,” Hassan told Al Nahar TV channel.
Hassan then went on to reveal that former Al Ahly manager Martin Jol could take charge of Pyramids next season.
“There are negotiations with Martin Jol to manage Pyramids next season,” he added.
It’s worth noting that Hassan had worked as a sporting director for Pyramids last year, but left after the 2019 African Cup of Nations.
