OFFICIAL: Brazilian coach Ricardo returns to Ismaily

veterans Ismaily SC have defined the return of Brazilian head coach to the club to become the first team’s boss for a third tenure.

Ismaily have had a poor Egyptian Premier League campaign so far as they occupy the 10th position on the league table.

None of the managers appointed throughout the campaign were able to save the Darawish from their heavy drop.

The club had recently sacked Adham El-Selhedar from his post as head coach and appointed team legend Mohamed Hommos as caretaker.

Ismaily said in an official statement that Ricardo landed in Egypt in the early morning of Thursday to sign the contracts with the Yellow Dragons.

Ricardo will be joined by Ahmed El-Agouz as assistant, Mohamed Hommos trainer and Saafan El-Sagheer as goalkeepers coach. The Brazilian manager will accompany the team to Alexandria for their Premier League clash against Al Ahly on Friday.

The 62-year-old coach previously managed to fight for the league in season 2008/2009 when he reached a title deciding game against Al Ahly before losing 1-0.

Overall, he led the team in 62 domestic game, winning 32, drawing 17, while losing 13.
