Saudi Professional League side Al Taaawon have appointed as their new head coach just hours after leaving Zamalek.

The Frenchman had guided Zamalek to the Egyptian Super Cup title as well as the CAF Super Cup in the same week back in February.

He also led Zamalek to the CAF Champions League semi-finals after overcoming Esperance Sportive de Tunis 3-2 on aggregate.

However, Carteron is now set to take on a tough challenge in coaching , who finished 12th in the Saudi Professional League table last season.

The 50-year-old will be replacing Portuguese manager, Pedro Emanuel, who had led Al Taawon to Saudi Cup triumph in 2019.
