Mohamed Salah named world’s fifth highest-paid footballer
Salah has established himself as one of the best Premier League players since joining Liverpool from AS Roma in 2017.
The 28-year-old’s contributions have guided Liverpool to multiple trophies, including the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League title.
Additionally, his hat-trick against Leeds United on Saturday raised his tally to 97 goals in 154 appearances for the Reds.
According to a report by Forbes, Salah was placed among the highest-paid footballers in the world, ranked at fifth place with earnings amounting to $37m.
The report also added that the Egyptian’s earnings consist of his $24m salary and $13m that he takes in via endorsements.
Forbes’ updated list saw Barcelona’s Lionel Messi overtake Cristiano Ronaldo at the top of the list with $126m (£98m).
Meanwhile, Paris Saint-Germain’s Neymar and Kylian Mbappe were placed third and fourth respectively.
