Egypt drop one place in latest FIFA World Rankings
The Egyptian national team have dropped two places in the latest FIFA World Rankings for the month of October.
The Pharaohs have not played any friendly or competitive games since the return of football from COVID-19 suspension.
Despite keeping their place in the rankings of last month, Egypt have dropped two places going from 51st to 52nd place in the standings.
The latest rankings also saw Senegal drop to 21st place but they still lead the African teams in the standings followed by Tunisia (26th) while 2019 AFCON champions Algeria rise to 30th place.
Egypt were drawn in Group G of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with Kenya, Togo, and Comoros.
They are set to resume the qualifiers next month as they face Togo twice, with the first encounter taking place on 9 November before they meet again eight days later.
