Former Zamalek assistant appointed new Aswan coach


Former Zamalek assistant coach and player has been officially hired as the new Aswan head coach following the departure of on Wednesday.

Aswan released a statement earlier on Wednesday announcing the departure of Ahmed Koshary and thanked him for his efforts.

Aswan also mentioned in their statement that Ahmed Mostafa, Ahmed Maradona, and Ahmed Kamal along with the current medical staff will lead the team on a temporary basis before they hire a new head coach.

But it didn’t take Aswan much time to settle on the replacement, as the club’s board led by president Ahmed Soliman have decided to hire El-Sheshini following a meeting with the club’s football committee.

El-Sheshini served a number of different spells as Zamalek assistant coach to the likes of Patrice Carteron, Micho, and Marcos Paqueta, and also took the same role at El-Gouna and Etisalat.

El-Sheshini expressed his happinness and his appreciation to Aswan’s name, assuring that he will give his best to be up to standards and achieve the ambitions of the Aswan fans.

Aswan had promoted to the season last season and manage to secure their top tier status for the next one as they hold the 14th place with 37 points with two games to go.
