Football agent Christian Emile has revealed that Mostafa Mohamed had received a big offer from Sporting Braga before heading to Galatasaray, while revealing a Greek offer from Al Ahly’s Mohamed Hany.
Mohamed joined Galatasaray on a one-and-a-half loan deal from Zamalek and hit the ground running in the Turkish Super Lig.
The 23-year-old has now four goals in four games in Turkey, with an average of a goal every 79 minutes.
And according to reports, Galatasary have reached an agreement with Mostafa for a new five-year contract, which will include a €25 million release clause.
However, this could all have changed as Mohamed could have headed to Portugal to join Sporting Braga instead.
Braga, who had Ahmed Hassan Kouka in their ranks before, had identified Mostafa Mohamed as a target to replace key man Paulinho, who left for Sporting CP just this month.
“Mostafa Mohamed had received an offer from Sporting Braga for a fee of around €4.5 million,” Emile had told ON Time Sports.
“We have an example and that is Mohamed Salah. Salah has been able to shine for years because of the continuity in scoring and assisting goals and not because of his talent.
“Mostafa Mohamed has to continue on this form,” he added.
Mostafa Mohamed became the first Galatasaray player to score in the first three Super Lig games since Bafétimbi Gomis in 2017.
He will hope to replicate this form once again when Galatasaray face Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig away from home on Saturday, February 20.
Emile has then gone on to reveal that Greek side AEK Athens had submitted offer for Al Ahly’s right back Mohamed Hany.
“Mohamed Hany had several offers, with the last one being from AEK Athens,” Emile said.
“Hany has always been an interest to European sides,” he added.
