The Egyptian fa (EFA) confirmed that they have sent official notices to Omar Marmoush and Mostafa Mohamed's clubs to include them in the U-23 national team squad.
The national team had qualified for the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo last year after their U-23 AFCON triumph in 2019; however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the games were pushed to 2021.
The Young Pharaohs were drawn into Group C alongside spain, Argentina, and Australia, and will start their campaign against European champions Spain on July 22 at the Sapporo Dome Stadium.
The team's head coach had registered 80 players in his preliminary squad, including 14 senior players.

Now, the EFA have officially announced that both Mostafa Mohamed, who became a regular with the senior side, and Omar Marmoush, whose last cap came in October 2019, have received a call-up.
They will take part in the national team's last training camp before Gharib decides on the final squad for the tournament.
Marmoush, who is currently on loan at 2.Bundesliga side FC St.Pauli from Wolfsburg, has had a great second-half of the season.
Since joining St.Pauli in January, the 22-year-old made 10 direct goal contributions [seven goals and three assists] in 19 appearances, and played a major role in helping them move to the seventh spot after they were battling for relegation.
Meanwhile, Mostafa Mohamed has had a stellar start to his career in Turkey, scoring six goals in his opening six games for Galatasaray. While he went on some dry spells, the 23-year-old became an instant fan-favourite and earned the trust of Fatih Terim.
Overall, Mohamed now has eight goals in 16 appearances for the Yellow-Reds, averaging one goal every two games. He was also close to winning his first title abroad, but Besiktas managed to clinch the turkish Super Lig title by just one goal.
