Ismaily receive three-point deduction over Hassan debacle

Premier League outfit have received an official letter citing that they have been handed a three-point deduction after their failure to fulfill the penalty payment to over Ibrahim Hassan debacle.

The Egyptian Football Association () have sent Ismaily an official letter informing them that the association's appeal committee have turned down the Yellow Dragons' appeal on the decision.

The Court of Arbitration for Sport had ruled in the favour of Nogoom club to fine Ismaily 24 million EGP for the of Ibrahim Hassan to Zamalek in summer 2018.

However, Ismaily failed to pay the fine in due date for the EFA's appeals committee to approve the deduction of three points from Ismaily back in May 2 within 30 days starting from February 23, 2021 which was the date of CAS ruling.

Hassan has been playing for Pyramids FC since July 2019 after he departed Zamalek. He appeared in a total of 47 matches so far scoring six goals and registering nine assists.

Ismaily currently sit in the 12th place in the Egyptian Premier League with 26 points collected from 22 games. The three point deduction, should the decision be put in effect, will drop Ismaily to the 14th place and put them in danger zone, five points away from relegation positions.
