Elneny put pen-to-paper on new contract with Arsenal - Report

According to reports, Egypt international midfielder has successfully signed a new contract with Arsenal.

Elneny joined Arsenal from Basel back in 2016 and spent the 2019-20 season on loan at .

Since arriving in London, he represented the Gunners in 147 games across all competitions, winning two FA Community Shields and an FA Cup.

With his current contract ending this summer, rumors emerged about Elneny potentially leaving the club in order to make a comeback to the .

However, Elneny's current form seems to have convinced Arsenal to keep him for another year or two as the two sides have been negotiating for a new contract.

According to the English news outlet, after Everton's game in the league, Elneny was seen with a pen in his hand and piece of paper in front of him posing for pictures with the club photographer.

Reports have suggested that the 30-year-old has signed a one-year extension, with the option for a further year.
