wydad casablanca have officially announced the appointment of houcine ammouta as club head coach following the departure of Walid Regragui.
Wydad are living glorious days, having lifted the 2022 CAF champions league trophy and the 2021/22 Botola Pro League trophy.
Despite that, Head coach Walid Regragui's future in the club remained in doubt as he's reportedly close to taking Morocco national team manager job.
As a result, he parted ways with Wydad, and his successor was revealed to be club former head coach Houcine Ammouta.
Ammouta had previously taken charge of Wydad back in 2017, spending a year with the team and leading them to a CAF Champions League title and a domestic league title.
He was then appointed as Morocco domestic national team manager, and he successfully claimed the africa nations championship with them.
