Ittihad Jeddah's ahmed hegazi scored his team's winning goal against Al-Raed in the Saudi Professional League.
Ittihad lost the race to the 2021/22 saudi pro league title in the last matchday as they ended up two points behind champions Al-Hilal.
Consequently, they strengthened their ranks ahead of this season, signing a number of high-quality players such as Tarek Hamed and Helder Costa.
Moreover, they appointed former Wolves and Tottenham manager Nuno Santo as new club head coach.
With the club's eyes set on the title, they are playing for victory in every game, and they successfully came out on top in two of their three opening games this season.
The latest of which was against Al-Raed who put up a fight with the Tigers, proving to be a formidable opponent.
The game ended 1-0, and the winning goal was scored by none other than egyptian international defender Ahmed Hegazi.
Following Igor Coronado's corner-kick, and taking advantage of Al-Raed's confused defense, Hegazi netted the game's only goal in the 66th minute.
