egyptian Premier League outfit Bank Al ahly have appointed Helmy Toulan as their new head coach, the club announced.
Toulan has been coaching in the Egyptian Premier League for more than two decades, leading a number of clubs including Zamalek, Smouha, ittihad of Alexandria, and Al Masry.
The veteran manager's most recent stint was at ENPPI where he spent two and a half years and guided them to a top-six finish in two consecutive seasons.
However, he was relieved of his duties back in June following a poor run of form in the latter stages of the league last season.
Following a six-month layoff, Toulan has found a new club in bank al ahly as he is set to replace khaled galal, who was dismissed after their defeat to ENPPI on Wednesday.
Bank Al Ahly are currently eighth in the Egyptian Premier League table having earned just one win after five games played.
