Al Ahly’s Percy Tau starts his rehabilitation program

's South African forward Percy Tau started his rehabilitation process after picking up an injury in the Red Devils' game against of Alexandria.

Tau, who scored for the second successive time in the Egyptian Premier League, was forced off in the final ten minutes of the game against the Alexandria-based club after slipping in front of the goal.

Al Ahly's head of medical staff Ahmed Abou-Abla confirmed that the South African had undergone the required scans which revealed that he pulled his hamstring.

Abou-Abla mentioned that Tau commenced his rehabilitation program as he is expected to be sidelined for one month, and will miss Al Ahly's upcoming Egyptian Premier League heavy schedule.

The 28-year-old seemed to have earned Marcel Koller's trust after netting in Al Ahly's last two games, with the Swiss manager praising the South African's performance against Ghazal El-Mahallah.

However, Tau has had a series of injuries since joining the Red Devils, which has kept him from finding his best form with the club.
