Egyptian Premier League outfit smouha have announced the release of Palestinian defensive midfielder Mohamed Rashid.
Mohamed Rashid had joined Smouha last summer on a free transfer after an impressive run with Indonesian outfit persib bandung.
However, the 27-year-old failed to make his mark in Egyptian football and has never started a game for Smouha since his arrival.
His only appearance came in Smouha's 1-1 draw with Bank Al Ahly back in October when he was brought off the bench with 15 minutes remaining to full-time.
As a result, Rashid's services were deemed surplus to requirements by the club as he was out of Tarek el-ashry's plans this season.
He now becomes Smouha's fifth January release following the departures of Ahmed Abdelhay Eissa, Bahaa Magdy, Adel Ahmed, and Rida El-Barjiji.
