Arsenal’s Mohamed Elneny doubtful for Manchester United clash

Egypt international Mohamed could miss Arsenal's upcoming Premier League game against Manchester United.

Elneny made a rare start for Arsenal in their third-round Cup tie with Oxford United two weeks ago and played the full 90 minutes.

The 30-year-old inspired a 3-0 away win scoring Arsenal's opening goal with finding the back of the net twice late in the second half.

A week later, Elneny failed to make Arsenal's squad that managed a 2-0 away win at Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League's 18th gameweek.

According to a report by Football London, Elneny had sustained a knee injury in training before the North London derby.

Arsenal are still assessing the severity of the Egyptian's injury as his squad inclusion for the Manchester United game remains a doubt.

The Gunners' Premier League title charge will continue on Sunday when they host rivals and fourth-placed Manchester United.
