Abdullah El-Said’s agent confirms talks with Zamalek over transfer

's agent Sayed Marei has revealed the playmaker could be joining rivals in the January transfer window.

El-Said, 38, has been the subject of interest in the recently after being linked with Zamalek once again.

Zamalek had attempted to sign El-Said back in the summer, but rumours were ended when he extended his contract with Pyramids until the summer of 2024 back in October of last year.

Despite his renewal, it seems the former Al Ahly man could be heading to Zamalek after all with his agent refusing to rule out a potential move.

“Negotiations for Abdullah El-Said are still ongoing between both clubs,” Sayed Marei told MBC Masr.

El-Said departed Cairo giants Al Ahly in the summer of 2018 in a controversial fashion after signing for Zamalek, before extending his deal with the Red Devils.

As a consequence, Al Ahly sent the player out on loan to Finnish club Kuopion Palloseura, before selling him to Saudi club Al Ahli for a fee of around €850,000.

He then completed a move to Pyramids FC in January 2019 on a free transfer guiding the club to domestic and continental success.

Overall, El-Said has scored a total of 42 goals while providing 38 assists in 154 appearances across all competitions for Pyramids.
