The Gambia FF Vice Preisdent: Al Ahly are interested in Adama Bojang

The Gambian Football Federation (GFF) Vice President Bakary Jammeh that the U20 international Adama Bojang is the subject of interest from Al Ahly.

Bojang impressed for the Young Scorpions in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations in as his four goals guided The Gambia to their first-ever final ever before claiming the silver medal following a 2-0 defeat against Senegal.

After netting three times in an emphatic 5-0 victory against South Sudan in the quarter-finals, Bojang cemented his name in his nation's football by coming the first Gambian player to score a hat-trick in a CAF competition.

According to the Daily Mail, the 18-year-old, who plays for The Gambia's Steve Biko, has caught the interest of multiple European clubs, including 's Hotspur and Nottingham Forest in addition to Olympique Marseille and Ajax Amsterdam.

The GFF's Vice President Bakary Jammeh also mentioned that Al Ahly are among the clubs that are monitoring Bojang following his performances during the U20 AFCON.

“In addition to Tottenham, I have also heard about Al Ahly's interest in Adama Bojang. But there is nothing official yet,” Jammeh spoke to the TV channel “Sada El-Balad”.

“If they want to sign him, they will have to start negotiations with Steve Biko. I really hope that Bojang moves to the highest level possible, and succeeds in his next step,”
