Mostafa Mohamed inspires Nantes comeback to draw with Monaco

international Mostafa Mohamed has scored another goal for Nantes in their 2-2 comeback draw against Monaco on Sunday.

Nantes had secured a huge 1-0 victory over Olympique Lyonnais on Wednesday to qualify for the French Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain.

Despite having momentum heading into their clash with Monaco, Nantes found themselves two goals behind after the half-hour mark.

Axel Disasi's thumping strike in the 21st minute gave Monaco the lead before Eliot Matazo doubled the visitor's advantage nine minutes later.

After a disappointing first half for the hosts, Nantes manager decided to bring on reinforcements in Ignatius Ganago and Mostafa Mohamed after the break.

The latter's substitution paid dividends as Mohamed found the back of the net just six minutes after coming on with a delicate header that beat Alexander Nübel.

Mohamed has now hit double figures for Nantes as the goal was the Egyptian's 10th strike in all competitions this season.

Nantes managed to level the scoring late in the game with Ludovic Blas firing a bullet header at the far post in the 78th minute.
