As a result, the club decided to relieve Kombouaré from his role and replace him with U19 manager Pierre Aristouy as a caretaker manager until the end of the season.

Kombouaré has been in charge of Nantes since February 2021, leading the team in 109 games, and lifting the Coupe de last year against Nice.

However, the team's goal for the remainder of the season will be to avoid relegation under Aristouy as they have four tough games remaining against Toulouse (A), Montpellier (H), (A), and Angers (H).

Mostafa Mohamed will also hope for an increase in game time under Aristouy, having played 2778 minutes across 48 games this season, scoring 11 while providing five assists.
