Al Ahly star Percy Tau is reportedly attracting plenty of interest from European clubs, including FC Utrecht, anderlecht, and Brøndby IF.
The South African has seen a great increase in playing time under manager Marcel Koller, who appears to be fully trusting the forward over the likes of Taher Mohamed and Bruno Savio.
This season, Tau has made 28 appearances for Al Ahly, scoring seven goals and providing four assists as he helped the Reds two Super Cups and one Egypt Cup.
This seems enough time for scouts to update their reports of Tau, who is now being linked with a move to the netherlands, according to South African news outlet Farpost.
“FC Utrecht has made contact with his management just to gauge if there's interest from the player,” a source told Farpost.
“The only challenge is that Al Ahly is extremely happy with him and unwilling to sell him.
“He's yet to sign a new deal with Ahly and will probably move after AFCON. By then, he'll be left with six months on his contract,” he added.
The report added Tau's former employers Anderlecht, Danish giants Brøndby IF, and Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal are also keeping tabs on the South African.
It was rumored that Mamelodi sundowns had submitted a bid for Tau last January; however, Al Ahly ignored their request due to the recent history between the two clubs.
