Not my problem, Trezeguet claims hattrick against Karagümrük

Egypt international Mahmoud has reflected on Trabzonspor's win against beat Fatih Karagümrük in the 33rd round of the Turkish Super Lig.

Trezeguet has guided Trabzonspor to a massive 4-1 win over Fatih Karagümrük, scoring twice and coming so close to netting a hattrick.

Only eight minutes into the game, Trabzonspor took the lead through former defender Marc Bartra, but this didn't last long as Mbaye Diagne equalised for Fatih Karagümrük just six minutes later.

However, Karagümrük goalkeeper Batuhan Sen was forced to turn 's cross into his own net for Trabzonspor to re-take the lead, before the Egyptian scored twice, including a worldie to seal a massive 4-1 win.

Trezeguet however believes he should be awarded the second goal, which was seen as an own goal by the , as it would have completed his hattrick.

Speaking after the game to beIN Sports TV channel, Trezeguet said: “The second goal should be awarded to me.

“It wasn't an own goal. I hit the ball towards the goal and the goalkeeper could not catch it, so I scored this goal.

“I am happy to score three goals, and if someone thinks that I do not deserve that goal, then it is his problem, not mine,” he added

Trezeguet now has 10 goals and five assists in 26 Turkish Super Lig games this season, taking his season tally to 12 goals and eight assists in 39 games across all competitions.

The win also moved Trabzonspor up to sixth with 51 points from 33 games ahead of their game with Giresunspor on Tuesday, May 30.
